So I’ve saw a lot of people reviewing this press simply giving it a bad rap due to it not catching spent primers.
And i think leaving this review is neccesary because i just receive my order from ky-guns. First off I’ve been using this press over a year now an then some, I’ve loaded idk 2 maybe 3 thousand rounds on it. Not one single problem. Is there things that could’ve been done better sure, there’s always something we can make better though keep that in mind. Otherwise why are we reloading. But as far as the catching spent primers problem. I honestly feel like that’s simply not true, and it’s user error. If you take the time to set it up correctly including the decapping rod, it’ll shoot the primers strait down into the catch pan each an every time. I think I got to 300 strait befor having one pop out an miss the pan. Seems to me people just ain’t setting things up right. I’ll attach a pic below. I will add that since obviously all the primers are on one side, I added a piece of foam to block it off on the left side. Simply because it’s easier to dump the primers out into my collection jar from one side instead of two. Also, most of my reloads produce very minimal if any runout. It’s all in how you set it up. This press does the job just fine.

This press has so much torque that it makes resizing 243 out of 308 brass so easy.

My first press was a 1970’s RockChucker. I never cared for it. I sold it and have used many brands over years. After reading reviews describing this as a dead stop press, I became interested. When they went on sale I had to try one. Nothing fancy, no bells and whistles, just a simple single stage press that does not cam past TDC. I’m more than satisfied with it. So far no issues with spent primers, etc. I’m a bit of press junkie, glad to make room for this one.

I have this press. I got it about 3 months ago. I have loaded about 2000 rounds of 45 acp 1000 45 colt . 500 – 45/70 . No problem. I am not new at this I replaced my rock chucker that I have. Had 45 years. I probably could have sent it in for a rebuild . But I wanted a new one . WORKS GREAT
