Frankford Arsenal M-Press Product Overview
The Frankford Arsenal M-Press Single Stage reloading press was designed from the ground up to provide years of heavy duty service. The center mounted handle on top provides more leverage, allowing even the most stubborn case to be resized with ease. Cast iron construction and dual guide rods ensure consistent results. A free floating design allows the die and shellplate to move on two axis, so the case is always perfectly centered in the die, minimizing bullet runout.
The generous frame opening and ram stroke accommodate even the largest magnum cases. Three included die blocks (more available separately) let you change dies with ease, quickly changing from resizing to seating or crimping operations in seconds. Each die block features a lock screw to ensure the die returns to the proper setting each time. The spent primer collection system ensures your workspace stays clean. This Frankford Arsenal press also features an integrated LED light to make it easy to see what you are doing. Give this press a shot and you will fall in love, they thought of everything!

Having owned and used this press for some time now, and having read many reviews, below is my opinion. Load handgun and rifle rounds from 9mm to 45-70. When setting up the press there is a ball set screw meant to keep the locking collars from sliding out of the press. I tried inserting and removing several locking collars, without dies, using my fingers to get the set screwI coated with loctite to a point where the die would go in and out with just a bit of resistance. Leaving the set screw there I did find a few locking collars which did not want to go into the press. Since they are coated in a black paint it is easy to see where the issue is and a tad bit of filing fixed that for those collars. Think this is a fault of quality control in die collar tolerances, not the press. Also have read where the bronze locking screw on the die collars work loose. I haven’t encountered this issue at all in the many rounds I have resized. Actually while changing my dies from use on a Rock Chucker I have used forever to the locking collars , I found several of the dies used standard locking rings with bronze set screws. Never recall an issue there in the past. Since these die collars engage several more threads on a die than standard locking rings, looks to me to be a stronger setup. Straight wall case mouths hitting the die bottom during resizing. I have had this happen on occasion while using my Rock Chucker as I have now on this press. A half second to make sure the case mouth enters the die is of no issue to me. Finished products. I have found the finished rounds to very concentric, off by .002 or less compared to the Rock Chucker which was .003 or less. Slight improvement. I enjoy the ease of changing dies,, the light on the press is a plus, changing shell holder sizes is a snap with a small open ended wrench, and primer tray catches primers very well. All in all this is a solid, sturdy press which works smoothly. Enjoy using it.

I am 63 and got this press to reload 308 win. It resizes much easier then previous single stage presses I have used. I love the light , ease of operation, and the above the bench working. I was extremely skeptical about the “floating” dies. However once the case engages the die it stabilizes and works great.

No more RCBS, Lyman, or LEE presses. Now that I have used the M-Press, it has proven to be all I need and then some.
